Four Pillars of Giving
We've identified four pillars – children's healthcare, innovation, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) and our therapeutic areas. We engage in purposeful giving within these areas through employee service, corporate sponsorships, events, grants, and other forms of support.
Our company and employees are committed to going the extra mile for all the patients we serve, with services and support that assist patients living with rare diseases and their caregivers. Through disease advocacy efforts and awareness campaigns, we help to ensure patients have a voice, are supported throughout their unique healthcare journeys and can enhance their lives.
We extend our support to over 30 patient groups and advocacy organizations.
Science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics (STEAM) are foundational building blocks towards developing the next generation of pioneers. Our partnership with Perspectives Math & Science Academy is helping us foster this next generation with innovative programs.
In addition to partnering with MSA, we volunteer and financially support 15 organizations, including After School Matters, Girls 4 Science, iBIO, Women in BIO and YWCA.
Horizon proudly supports organizations, programs, and initiatives to improve the lives of women and children around the world.
We volunteer and financially support 12 organizations, including Americares, Gift of Adoption, Miracle Flights, Mt. Sinai, Red Cross, and UNICEF.
Without curiosity, passion and a spirit of entrepreneurship, breakthroughs in science, healthcare and business can’t happen. At Horizon, we look to foster those qualities and support people who are choosing to challenge the status quo and seek better solutions to life’s challenges.
We volunteer and financially support 13 organizations, including the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, MATTER, Chicago Council on Science and Technology, Chicago Ideas, Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, Chicago Innovation, Chicago Student Invention Convention, and the United Nations Business Council.
